Trading is a core functionality in Changex. Here, you can trade 2 types of pairs:

  • crypto <> crypto
  • fiat <> crypto

Trade crypto <> fiat

Unlike many other CEXs out there, Changex supports all fiat <> crypto pairs. This allows you to trade any fiat to any crypto we support; and vice-versa. We also offer a variety of crypto-to-crypto pairs. In total, you can choose from more than 100 pairs and Changex will continue to grow these numbers.

Trading on the Changex is simple. To perform a trade means to execute an order. As of Q1, 2025 there are two types of options for you to execute, regardless of the currency pair involved:

  • Market order – an order when you buy or sell a currency at a current market price. Market orders execute immediately so it’s an instant conversion at the current exchange rate.
  • Limit order – an order where you select the price at which you buy or sell a currency. This means that you project whether the price of an asset will go up or down. A limit order remains Open unless: it is filled or you cancel it. To fill a position means to complete the order. Limit orders are not guaranteed to be filled. Note that when you place a limit order, your assets are locked to this contract. You can always decide to terminate (cancel) the limit order to unlock these assets and allocate them elsewhere. There are no fees involved with canceling an open limit order.

  1. There are two ways to reach the “Trade” screen:
    • Go to “Markets”, scroll down to find a cryptocurrency you want to trade and hit the corresponding Trade button (under Actions).
    • Go to “Flexible Wallet” and perform a similar action: hit Trade with the selected currency.
  2. Next, you select the pair you want to trade. With crypto, for example, there are several BTC pairs, while other crypto coins offer less options.
  3. You have to select the direction of your Order: Buy or Sell.
  4. By now you should know the type or order you want to place, either:
    • buy or sell selected asset immediately at a market price – place a market order – the way to exchange instantly
    • or buy or sell selected asset so you wait for a time when price change meets your projected value – i.e. place a limit order
  5. Select the order type and then enter the amount. You see the price and the total fiat equivalent of your order.
  6. Depending on your selection in step 3 hit Buy or Sell and that’s it! A success message confirms your order placement.

With Market order, allow some seconds for the transaction to complete. Limit orders get listed under the “Orders” tab, just above the chart.
